Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was stopped for a traffic violation just before Sunday's game at Dolphins Hard Rock Stadium. During the interaction with the police, Hill decided to roll up his window and ignore the police officers' commands.
One officer, Danny Torres, has been placed on administrative duty because of his overly aggressive actions towards Hill.

Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald appeared Thursday on PFT Live and said that police officers intended to arrest Hill and defensive lineman Calais Campbell. The arrests would have prevented the players from playing in Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kelly told PFT Live that Drew Brooks, Dolphins' Head of Security, intervened and prevented the arrests.
The body-cam footage of the interaction shows Hill disregard the officers' commands and make comments that were unnecessary. At one point, Hill rolled the window up and refused to roll it down. At that point, because the officers could not see into the vehicle, the issue became about officer safety. Once officer safety is an issue, police are permitted to take actions to protect themselves, including removing all people from the vehicle.
Was Hill or Officer Torres Wrong?
Hill was Wrong!!
Officer Torres Should be Fired!
Hill Should've Been Arrested & Torres Fired✌🏼
Once Hill was removed from the vehicle, Officer Torres, a 27-year veteran on the force, took things too far. Torres chose to use excessive force against Hill. Because of that heavy-handed approach, Torres is on administrative duty.

Both, Hill and Torres, were wrong in their actions. Hill, by ignoring officers and placing himself in danger and the officers in a fearful position, and Torres, by being over-the-top with his words and actions in handling the situation. Of the six officers involved in the situation, Torres was the only officer who exhibited excessive force and was the only officer who was disciplined.
When asked about what should happen to Torres at a press conference on September 11, Hill didn't mince words: "“Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. He’s gotta go, man."
But Hill also knows he did wrong. Hill has since admitted he could have handled the situation better. “I could have let down my window in that instant. But the thing about me is, I don't want attention. I don't want to be cameras-out, phones-on-you in that moment.”
“But at the end of the day, I'm human. I've got to follow rules. I've got to do what everyone else would do,” Hill admitted. “Now, does that give them the right to literally beat the dog out of me? Absolutely not. But at the end of the day, I wish I could go back and do things a bit differently.”
The Dolphins host the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, September 12 at 5:15 p.m. (ET). Let's hope Hill can make it to the game, uneventfully, in his McLaren 729S.
